Ranger 06/2022 - Caution: To support the structural integrity of the load box, when load-bearing elevated accessories are fitted, Ford recommends the installation of load box reinforcement brackets (J-braces). If the cargo bed reinforcement brackets are not already installed at the factory on your vehicle (all Raptor vehicles manufactured before October 17, 2024, and all other Ranger vehicles manufactured before February 5, 2025), they are available separately as a Ford Service Part. Please contact your local Ford dealer for more information.
---DESCRIPTION---
The hydraulic damper makes lowering the heavy tailgate easier. When opening the tailgate, the damper absorbs the downward force, allowing it to glide down slowly rather than dropping quickly.
Enables convenient hands-free lowering by preventing the tailgate from slamming down. Helps protect against careless operation and avoiding damage to the hinges.
Ford recommends that you use a qualified technician to fit parts. Damage owing to incorrect fitment is not covered under warranty.

- Easy installation (less than 30 minutes) without any modifications to the vehicle
